Soulveda Brand Guidelines — cover

The Context

A wellbeing brand asking to be seen — calmly.

Soulveda is a mindfulness and wellbeing brand dedicated to inspiring individuals through motivation, spirituality and holistic living. Their content already resonated with a growing audience — the visual system did not.

The rebrand needed to modernise the identity while staying rooted in the brand's essence of calm, warmth and quiet inspiration.

The Challenge

Design a system that feels quiet — and works loud.

01

Distinct, not decorative

A visual language that stands apart on cluttered social feeds without shouting.

02

Flexible, not fragile

One system that adapts across posts, illustrations, quotes and long-form content.

03

Calm, not cold

Editorial restraint — but warm enough to feel human, mindful and personal.

The Approach

Research first. System second. Applications last.

I worked closely with the editorial team, studied the audience, and mapped competitive visual norms across wellbeing publishing. The direction that emerged: pastel-led naturalism, minimal geometry, and a typographic hierarchy that could carry long-form quotes as easily as one-line affirmations.

Step 01

Observe

Audience, tone, existing content and platform behaviours.

Step 02

Define

A brand mood grounded in calm, nature and mindfulness.

Step 03

Systemise

Colour, type, imagery and illustration into one grammar.

Step 04

Apply

Across social, editorial and campaign touchpoints.

The Design System

A grammar of calm — four systems, one voice.

01 · Colour Palette

02 · Type Colours

Deep, quiet, grounded — chosen to sit gently on pastel surfaces.

Three typographic colours — Dark Forest Green, Deep Ocean Blue and Nature Black — anchor the palette. Legible enough for long reads, soft enough to keep the tone warm.

03 · Typography

A three-voice system — serif for weight, sans-serif for clarity, handwriting for warmth. Every piece of content finds its register.

The Work

Two languages, one voice — image and illustration.

Photography holds the mood; hand-drawn stick figures carry the personality. Together they form Soulveda's public face across the content calendar.

04 · Imagery

05 · Illustration

Stick figures — universally readable, emotionally warm.

Simple, hand-drawn figures make mental-health topics approachable. They read across every audience without cultural or demographic bias — and give the brand a signature voice.

Real-World Application

Where the system finally speaks.

The final measure of the system is how comfortably it lives in the wild — quotes, illustrations, landscapes, editorials — all sharing the same visual DNA without repeating themselves.

The Outcome

A unified brand system that carries Soulveda's voice across every post, quote and campaign — quietly recognisable, effortlessly consistent.

The rebrand elevated Soulveda's image to a premium editorial tier, lifting recognition and engagement across digital platforms — proof that a calm, systemised identity travels further than a louder one.

Key Learnings

Five lessons the system taught me back.

Lesson 01

Observe

Understanding the audience, tone and platform behaviours came before any visual decision — the system is only as calming as the empathy behind it.
